Nonuttin' Foods Inc. was founded in November 2002, 5 years after the founders

- Blue Bear Aware Blue Bear Aware™ was created by sisters Roberta and Elizabeth Cottam, artist and teacher who founded the company in 2006 after Elizabeth's youngest child was diagnosed with a chronic illness. Their aim is to provide parents with clothing choices that increase public awareness about their child's medical needs in a fun and fashionable manner. Other products include playdate cards and epi pouches.
- Activeaide is a manufacturer of auto injector pouch waist belts, epipen holders and other aides for those with anaphylaxis. The company was established in 2005 and developed its products after consulting with allergists, hospitals and parents of anaphylactic children. Activeaide is Australian based, but sells its products worldwide.
- Tee Shirts Talk. When Christina of www.teeshirtstalk.ca discovered her daughter had a peanut allergy she wanted to create shirts that clearly and unmistakeably stated the critical allergy information and was available at an affordable price. Her Mississauga-based company offers a variety of children’s t-shirts which announce their specific allergies or which announce milestones in their life or in their family. was designed by Susan Janzen, a registered nurse out of an effort to make
sure others would always be aware of her daughter's life-threatening peanut
allergy. Allergywear is a line of clothing and accessories--each which carries
some form of waterproof identification tags which provide information on allergies,
other medical conditions or simply a name and emergency contact information.

Scott H. Sicherer, MD, and Terry Malloy wrote this book in a Q&A
format which make it very easy to follow. This book is for the newly
diagnosed as well as those who have been living with the allergy for a long
time. It includes recommendations for food shopping and dining out plus
it outlines some helpful progress in peanut allergy research. The case
studies are very helpful and give the book a positive tone. It is available

Nut Free Cookbook Donna Beckwith has written over 250 recipes written

is the editor of Canada's first magazine for people dealing with serious food
and environmental allergies and asthma. Allergic Living™ offers
columns by allergists and experts, lifestyle coverage of new allergy products
and skin care for those with sensitivities. It also contains a food
section with allergy-friendly recipes. Their web site has a "talking
allergies forum", reader's stories and a survey.
- Halton Anaphylaxis Protocol 2006 The Halton
District School Board's web site has the Halton Anaphylaxis Protocol
2006 available to peruse and/or print off. This document is the result
of The Halton District School Board and the Halton Catholic School Board implementing
Sabrina's Law in their schools.
- Allergy Safe Communities Canada's
leading allergy organizations released new guidelines that spell out the standard
for treating life-threatening anaphylactic reactions, and outline the
preventive strategies that should be in place in schools, camps, and similar
settings.This new web site allows the ordering of the new manual entitled
"Anaphylaxis in Schools & Other Settings" from Anaphylaxis Canada,
Allergy Asthma Information Association (AAIA), Canadian Society of Allergy
& Clinical Immunology (CSACI) or Association quebecoise des allergies
alimentaires (AQAA).

issues
food recalls and allergy alerts that will be of interest to parents of anaphylactic
children. Also, you can receive e-mail versions of new recalls by sending a message
to their webmaster indicating your desire to be added to the recall distribution
list. You can also view food labelling regulations and other government information
